German ambassador meets with NDFI President
In a second meeting in recent months between NDFI delegation and the German ambassador and the head of the economic department of the German embassy, Dr. Seyed Safdar Hosseini concisely acquainted the party with the strategies and policies of NDFI with notes on recent constructive and positive updates and changes that these guidelines have gone through and resulted in a 9 billion dollar increase of NDFI’s assets. Among the topics discussed were, financing of foreign investors in Iran, the improving perception of Iran among investors and the world, explorative stage in renewed cooperation, possible plans of action on the road ahead, Possibility of easing visa restrictions for Iranian’s to ease trade, clarifications on the hierarchical status of NDFI and detached assets from that of the government.
The German ambassador referred to some similar economic hurdles faced by his government and steps in overcoming them; per say the Auto industry slowdown and simple successful resolution steps taken to revive the industry that did not even involve the industry directly and was carried out by financing of buyers.
He further pointed to the NUMOV conference in June held in Hamburg which will be attended by high ranking officials and presents a good opportunity for NDFI to explore cooperation, NDFI also accepted the opportunity and agreed to make arrangements to be present in the conference and also to continue these meetings to achieve breakthroughs in renewing close cooperation.
