Iran President Puts Mehdi Ghazanfari In-charge of NDF

Dr. Mehdi Ghazanfari was appointed as the Chairman of NDF Executive Board. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi appointed Dr. Mehdi Ghazanfari as the Chairman and Member of NDF Executive Board.

According to a report by NDF Public Relations Department, Iranian President, Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, appointed Mehdi Ghazanfari as the Chairman and Member of Executive Board of National Development Fund.

The Decree of Appointment says: “Having close cooperation and interaction with other members of the executive board, you are expected to take proper strategies to realize NDG goals and objectives and convert parts of gas and oil-export revenues into sustainable and productive wealth, and economically-productive capital, while striving diligently to preserve the share of oil and gas revenues for future generations. As per other appointment decrees, Masoud Movahedi, Asghar Abolhassani Hastiani, Hossein Eivazloo and Alireza Mirmohammad Sadeghi were appointed as new Members of NDF Executive Board.

Dr. Mehdi Ghazanfari has previously served as the Head of Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) in the 9th Government, then the Minister of Commerce and later, and later the Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade in the 10th Government of I. R. Iran. He has also been the founder of Shahid Beheshti Governance School and the head of school since August 2018. Dr. Ghazanfari graduated in “Industrial Engineering” from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) and received his PhD in “Industrial engineering - Production Planning Models” from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Dr. Ghazanfari is a faculty member of IUST.
